Courteney Cox is an American actress, producer, and filmmaker best known for her iconic roles in both television and film. She rose to global fame for her portrayal of Monica Geller on the NBC sitcom Friends (1994–2004), a role that made her a household name and earned her numerous accolades, including nominations for Emmy and Golden Globe Awards. Cox also gained widespread recognition for her role as Gale Weathers in the Scream horror film franchise (1996–present).
In addition to her success in film, Courtney Cox has built a successful television career. She starred in the FX drama Dirt (2007–2008) and played the lead role in the ABC/TBS sitcom Cougar Town (2009–2015), which she also directed. More recently, she appeared in the Starz horror-comedy series Shining Vale (2022–2023).
